What is EST

Epic Sahyadri Trail (EST) is a national-scale trail mapping and preservation project by HikeX.

The aim is to create India’s first fully documented and longest continuous hiking route, spanning 2000 km across the Sahyadri mountain range in Maharashtra.

The project will document and preserve historic routes, build a national outdoor asset while promoting responsible nature exploration, supporting local livelihoods and improving access and safety in the outdoors.

What's next in EST

The 70-day ground expedition is done. Now comes the work of handling the trail over to the community. We are creating trail resources every hiker can use.
